How it works

These are the key steps, in the right order. Answer the short questions; then you see exactly what applies to you and what is added.

  1. 1Check the paper and the money separatelyThe Endabrechnung shows what you get and what is taken off. But a paper alone does not mean the money has arrived.Key step
    Why?
There may be deadlines, even while you are already asking. A deadline is a time limit.
    What you do
Help is available from the payroll office and the AK, the Arbeiterkammer. The app does not calculate any claims. It stores no financial data.

Review statement and actual payment separately

Final statement shows considered benefits and deductions; received paper proves no complete actual payment. Review actual forfeiture and legal deadlines independently even in an ongoing matter. The app calculates no wages, interest, holiday or severance entitlements and records no financial data.

  2. 2Collect important papers before your job endsYour job ends soon. Now you collect important papers.Key step
    Why?
Later you may need them to compare. But the coming end does not mean money is missing yet.
    What you do
Sort your contract, Kollektivvertrag information and old pay statements. Add your own notes on working hours and holidays.

Retain existing records before employment end

Privately organise contract, collective agreement information, prior statements and own working-time or holiday records. Upcoming end proves no already due missing payment.

  3. 3Check when payment is dueDue date means: the day by which it must be paid. According to the AK, the Endabrechnung is generally due at the end.Key step
    Why?
Your contract or Kollektivvertrag may set other times. This is especially true for Arbeiter.
    What you do
Check the exact date directly with an advice service. The app does not decide if payment is late.

    Review actual relevant due date

According to chamber final statement is generally due at end. Contract and collective agreement can affect relevant payment dates particularly for workers. Review actual date and matter directly; no app decision on arrears.

  4. 4Compare the paper with your bank accountHere you compare the paper with the money in your account. You look at amount, purpose and deductions.Key step
    Why?
This way you see if something is missing. For example overtime, holiday pay or Abfertigung.
    What you do
Write down missing items as open questions. Do not calculate a claim yourself. Have it checked.

Organise actual items, deductions and payment privately

Compare payment amount, purpose and deductions from available paper with actual receipt. Mark missing items such as overtime, proportional special payment, unused-leave compensation or severance only as actual questions for review, no blanket entitlement calculation.

  5. 5Check the fields on your final statementThe Endabrechnung has many fields. For example gross pay, deductions and maybe the Familienbonus. Gross means: before deductions.Key step
    Why?
Not every field applies to every contract. A check shows what matters for you.
    What you do
Have the AK or payroll office check the statement. This also covers tax and social insurance.
    Where?
AK / PayrollDirectly with the named service

Review existing final statement by actual fields

Have relevant gross earnings, insurance/tax bases and deductions plus where applicable provident-fund contribution and considered family tax credit reviewed for personal case. Not every field or amount applies to every contract.

  6. 6Choose a way to ask that you can proveHere you choose how to ask. Best in a way you can prove.Key step
    Why?
A copy and proof of sending show that you asked. A reminder you set yourself does not replace a real deadline.
    What you do
Write to the right office yourself. Keep a copy and proof of sending. The app sends nothing.
    Where?

    Agree own evidenced contact route

Personally use actual matter and available evidence yourself. For written request retain copy and dispatch evidence. Recommended reminder period replaces no statutory or contractual deadline. App sends no message.
